Privacy and Cookie Policy

This policy also serves as the privacy notice required by Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”). It explains which data is processed when you visit handanla.com, for what purpose and how.

In short

  • The site has no accounts, comments, contact forms or newsletter sign-up. We never ask for your name, phone number or address.
  • The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Visitor statistics are collected with a cookie-free tool that does not identify you.
  • Fonts are served from our own site; we do not connect to external services such as Google Fonts.

What data do we process?

Technical data. When you open the site, your browser sends technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page visited and the time. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure, and Cloudflare processes this information to deliver the site to you and keep it secure (for example, to block attacks).

Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors; it only provides aggregate figures such as page views, country and device type.

Email correspondence. If you write to [email protected], your name, email address and message are processed only to reply to you. Emails sent to this address are forwarded to our [EMAIL PROVIDER] account via Cloudflare Email Routing. Correspondence is kept for [RETENTION PERIOD] and then deleted.

Site search. Search runs in your browser using a tool called Pagefind. We do not record the words you search for.

Technical data and visitor statistics are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site securely and properly (KVKK Art. 5/2-f). Email correspondence is processed on the same legitimate-interest basis so that we can respond to your request.

Transfers

Technical data and emails are processed by our service providers Cloudflare, Inc. and [EMAIL PROVIDER], whose servers may be located outside Turkey. Cookies

handanla.com does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising, marketing or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie consent banner.

Our infrastructure provider Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies to keep the site secure (for example __cf_bm, which helps distinguish malicious traffic). These cookies are not used to identify you or to show ads. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Source links in articles and the share buttons (WhatsApp, Telegram, Pinterest, Facebook, X) take you to other websites. The buttons send no data unless you click them; once you do, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred; to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; to request deletion or destruction under the conditions set out in the KVKK; to request that such actions be notified to third parties; to object to a result against you arising from analysis by automated systems; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

If you are visiting from the European Union, you can also exercise your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) through the same address.

Changes

This policy is updated when necessary. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top changes accordingly.
